The mission of Christian Appalachian Project has long been to build hope, transform lives, and share Christ's love through service in Appalachia. We want to invite you to join the mission and to come alongside us as we embark on an enduring philanthropic effort to RISE and Shine!

With the generous support of friends like you, CAP’s RISE and Shine campaign aims to raise $95 million to transform the lives of children, their families, and seniors living in need in Appalachia.

RISE and Shine is our boldest initiative in our 59-year history. That’s why we’re asking all of our donors and friends to prayerfully consider increasing their support. We know that with friends like you, needs will be met, hope will be built, lives will be transformed.

RISE and Shine for a Brighter Tomorrow

Here are four of the ways we meet the needs of children, their families, and seniors in Appalachia.

Standing with Appalachian
youth and families

Children and youth are the future. CAP's Youth Empowerment Services, Family Life Counseling Services, and Custodial Grandparent Support ensure that we are helping to build hope for tomorrow.

Meeting the most
basic human needs

Poverty is a heavy burden to bear for individuals and families in Appalachia. CAP provides food, shelter, and clothing support to meet the needs and change the lives of the people who need it the most.

Building strategic
partnerships

Working together allows CAP to better serve our communities. That’s why we’re committed to leveraging resources and building more partnerships. Together, we can amplify our impact in Appalachia.

Strengthening the heartbeat
of volunteerism

Over the years, thousands of CAP volunteers have shared their time and love to bless those in need. Investing in our volunteer program will allow us to strengthen and support these hope-builders.

Help us reach our goal of $95 million to support families
in Appalachia.

Fund
Stronger Together

"Meeting the future needs of this region will require the excellence of every single CAP employee and volunteer, the unwavering support of community partners and churches, and the compassionate generosity of donors throughout the country."

— Guy Adams, President & CEO
