Resources for Campus Ministers

IMG_0592Christian Appalachian Project Volunteer Program works frequently with campus ministers to promote alternative spring breaks and post-graduate service, so we know that most campus ministers have multiple responsibilities that consume most of their waking hours. If budgeting, meetings and searching frantically for clergy on Sundays prevent you from spending a lot of time organizing service projects, we hope the links below will help you find the information you need quickly.

WorkFest
CAP’s alternative college spring break program provides an affordable, ecumenical service-learning experience that keeps colleges and universities from across the country coming back year after year. For alternative break opportunities other than spring break, see our Groups page.

At Home Mission Projects
If alternative breaks are not in your budget, try organizing a food or other drive for CAP on campus.

Promotional Materials
Would you consider displaying CAP Volunteer Program posters and brochures on your campus? Campus ministers are our most effective way of reaching young people interested in summer or post-graduate service.

Campus Visits
We love speaking with students passionate about service. Whether you are hosting a post-graduate service fair, or want to promote service but don’t know where (or don’t have the time) to begin, we would love to discuss different options for successful recruitment visits. Contact Amy Schill at aschill@chrisapp.org or 606-256-0973 to get started.
