Community Volunteering


Community VolunteerCommunity volunteering is an opportunity for Kentucky residents who live in the areas surrounding CAP’s facilities to volunteer part-time without committing to CAP community life. Unlike short-term and long-term volunteers, community volunteers can serve on a part-time basis, volunteering as few as a couple of hours or as many as several hours a week, depending on program needs.

To be considered as a community volunteer, participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • Must be able to transport themselves to and from CAP
  • Complete a volunteer application, including three personal references and a criminal records check
  • Personal interview with Volunteer Program manager(s)
