Service

“Believing that we can fight poverty in Appalachia is just as important as seeing. And seeing the points of direct change circles us back to believing we can achieve more.”—Trish Thorson, Child and Family Development

Below are links to descriptions of CAP’s primary volunteer service opportunities. Additionally, if a volunteer hasService special interest or skill in an area not listed here (grant writing, administration, etc.), there may be short-term and long-term opportunities in these areas. Typically, a volunteer will choose one program to serve in for his or her volunteer time, though volunteers may also have an opportunity to serve in Disaster Relief or other programs for special events.
