Short-term Volunteering

Christian Appalachian Project relies on the dedication of short-term volunteers to fulfill our mission in eastern Kentucky. Short-term volunteers generally make
a commitment of at least three weeks. At times they provide an extra pair of hands, but in many instances they serve in mission-critical functions.
Benefits of Short-term Volunteering
- Immersion into a new culture
- The opportunity to live in a CAP volunteer community with other short-term and long-term volunteers. Room and board provided at no cost to the volunteer.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Commitment to community life, prayer life and service work
- Willing to serve for a minimum of 3 weeks (with a few exceptions)
- Completed volunteer application, including three personal references and a criminal records check
