International applicants

Please read the following criteria for applying to become a CAP volunteer. If there are any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to contact the Volunteer Program at volunteer@chrisapp.org.

Thank you for your  interest in our service work here in eastern Kentucky, USA.

Although we have had success welcoming short-term and summer camp international volunteers, it is very difficult for us to accept long-term international volunteers. To be eligible to be a prospective long-term CAP volunteer, you will need residence in the USA for a period of one year or longer, with the appropriate Visa. It is with regret that we are unable to sponsor volunteers who wish to obtain a Visa. Unfortunately, we also are unable to write an official letter of acceptance.

When you have met the above requirements, you will be presented with an admissions procedure that includes the following:

• An application
• Three (3) written references
• Criminal records search report
• Interview
