"Building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ's love in Appalachia." How's that for a New Year's resolution? Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is still seeking enthusiastic volunteers and AmeriCorps members ready to make 2020 their year of service in the beautiful hills of Eastern Kentucky. There is a lot of urgent need in our service area, and our programs depend on the dedication of volunteers with a heart for service.
Room and board is provided (in addition to a modest stipend) for members who wish to make a commitment to our Volunteer Program and its values of Service, Community, and Spirituality. For AmeriCorps members who would rather find (or keep) their own local living arrangements, a bi-weekly local living allowance of $472 is available to help defray costs of living for the duration of your service. All long-term volunteers and AmeriCorps members are offered affordable options for health insurance during their year of service.
