While many hands are needed to do the physical work required day to day in Christian Appalachian Project’s (CAP) programs, that work would not be made possible without the generosity of our donors. That compassion will help CAP strive toward our 30-year vision and continue our mission of building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ’s love through service in Appalachia for years to come.
August is National Make-A-Will Month and CAP has partnered with FreeWill to provide a safe and easy experience for people to create a will and support CAP through non-cash gifts. FreeWill gives people the ability to create wills online and alter them at no charge. CAP’s partnership with FreeWill includes their Smart Giving Suite, which allows donors to give through their IRA, Donor Advised Funds, and stock online in addition to creating a free will.
“Including CAP in your will allows you to leave a legacy of hope in Appalachia,” said Molli Guelde, CAP planned giving coordinator. “Your gift will help support CAP’s mission by sustaining our budget for years to come. That support will impact future generations and ease the grip of poverty people in the Appalachian region face.”
In recent years, Appalachia has faced unrelenting challenges from pandemic, inflation, and back-to-back natural disasters. Your generous gift can transform the lives of children, their families, and seniors in the region and help CAP’s programs grow and meet their basic needs through food, clothing, counseling, home repair, disaster relief, and more.
“We are richly blessed by the generosity and compassion of our donors across the country,” Guelde said. “They inspire CAP to continue seeking ways to best serve our participants. We are blessed to do the work that we do in Appalachia.”
