For a team of Willoughby United Methodist Church members, an early August mission trip to Kentucky was abruptly diverted, rerouted to a destination a bit closer.
Originally bound for eastern Kentucky to help the Christian Appalachian Project repair substandard housing for children and their families, and seniors in need, the church members instead decided to travel to McMechen, West Virginia, to aid local residents impacted by recent flash flooding...
