1. Where are we going?
Jobsites are in Eastern Kentucky. Participants have been through intake with Home Repair Coordinators to determine what repairs are needed.
2. Where will we stay?
CAP maintains a number of facilities for groups including Foley Mission Center, Williams Street Center, and Camp AJ. These facilities have simple dorm rooms, internet connections, showers, heat and air-conditioning.
3. What will we eat?
We are blessed with many volunteers who come to #cookatCAP! Homecooked meals fuel our jobsites! We can accomodate most diets, please contact us for specifics.
4. Are these REAL projects or just busy work?
There is a saying at CAP that "a tired volunteer is a happy volunteer." Student crews may be digging holes for porch supports, putting together ramps, painting, and many other tasks. Flexibility is key. We have a great time, but that doesn't mean that we don't work hard!
5. How many other schools will be there? What other schools will be there?
The number of schools that attend are based on the number of worksite leaders available, jobsites, spring break schedules, and size of schools. If you are here multiple years you may recognize the groups that you encounter as spring break at CAP is a tradition amongst many of them.
